Even Democrats Are Turning On Biden For His Worst Mistake

The majority of American people think that there is a problem at the country’s southern border. They are also attributing this catastrophe to President Biden’s policies.

A Rasmussen poll found that 69% of potential US voters believe the current migrant situation on the US-Mexico border is in a crisis. This represents a significant rise from May 2021, whenever that figure was 66%.

Only 19% of respondents say there is no border problem, and another 12% aren’t sure. Voters awarded Biden good or exceptional scores for how he has handled the immigration issues in 30% of the votes he received. On immigration, 51% of voters awarded Biden a failing score.

83% of Republicans, 57% of Dems., and 68% of independent voters concur that the U.S.-Mexico border is currently in crisis. Democrats rated Biden’s handling of immigration issues as satisfactory or excellent in 57% of cases. Only 21% of independent voters and 11% of Republicans hold the same opinions. Only 22% of Democrats gave Biden a negative rating on immigration, compared to 78% of Republicans and 54% of independent voters.

There is a crisis at the southern border, according to 76% of Republicans, 48% of independent voters, and 27% of Dems., “because the Biden Admin. has refused to comply with immigration laws and complete the border wall.”

For his handling of immigration-related issues, 26% of white voters, 48% of black voters, and 36% of non-white minorities gave Biden good or exceptional grades. Strongly agreeing that there is a crisis at the border is more probable among white voters (54%) than among black voters (34%) or other non-white minorities (46%) “because the Biden Government has failed to enforce immigration laws and complete the border wall.”

No matter how you look at it, the situation at the border is a disaster for public policy. Republicans will need to do more than just blast the Biden administration for its mishandling of immigration. They will need to put up specific ideas, such as a moratorium on immigration, the abolition of birthright citizenship, and the elimination of chain migration, in order to fully confront mass migration, which is the existential problem of our time.

Cheap talking points will not suffice in this crisis situation.
