Crockett, known more for her theatrics than her legislative prowess, set her sights on Melania’s immigration status, specifically targeting her use of the EB-1 visa—commonly referred to as the “Einstein visa.”
According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, this visa category is reserved for individuals of “extraordinary ability” in fields such as sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, who have sustained national or international acclaim. Melania Trump’s modeling career, spanning decades and continents long before she ever stepped into the White House, clearly met these rigorous standards. Her face graced magazine covers internationally—including British GQ—and her work was recognized and celebrated worldwide.
Yet Crockett, in her infinite wisdom, dismissed Melania’s impressive portfolio with condescension dripping from every word. “Let me remind y’all that Melania, the first lady, a model—and when I say model I’m not talking about Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, or Naomi Campbell level—applied for and was given an EB-1 visa,” Crockett sneered. In her misguided view, Melania lacked the achievements necessary for this visa, mockingly stating, “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t mathin’ here.”
This absurd spectacle reveals more about Jasmine Crockett than it does about Melania Trump. It’s a classic case of liberal hypocrisy, weaponizing immigration policy against the First Lady while conveniently ignoring the Democrat party’s own open-border agenda. As former Trump attorney Michael Wildes confirmed back in 2018, “Mrs. Trump obtained her Green Card legally and was more than amply qualified and solidly eligible for the Extraordinary Ability Green Card.” Crockett’s feigned outrage is nothing more than political theater, aimed at tarnishing President Trump’s America First legacy by smearing his family.
Let’s not lose sight of what Crockett and her radical Democrat allies are truly after—the delegitimization of a First Lady whose life embodies the American Dream. Melania Trump came to this great nation legally, achieved remarkable success through hard work and talent, and proudly served as First Lady with dignity and grace. Her immigration story is precisely the kind we should celebrate and encourage, not belittle and attack.
Furthermore, Democrats like Crockett have spent years aiding and abetting illegal immigration, turning a blind eye to the chaos unfolding at our southern border. Their policies incentivize lawlessness and reward those who flout America’s immigration laws. Yet when faced with an immigrant who followed the rules and succeeded beyond measure, Democrats rush to discredit and demean her. The hypocrisy is staggering, but sadly, not surprising.
At its core, Crockett’s attack is an attack on the very values America stands for—merit, hard work, and lawful entry into our country. Melania Trump followed every rule, exceeded every expectation, and earned her place legally in America. If Democrats truly cared about immigration integrity, they’d hold Melania Trump up as a shining example, not tear her down with cheap shots and petty insults.
It’s time to call out these smears for what they are: desperate, partisan attacks designed to distract from the Democrats’ own disastrous record on immigration. Jasmine Crockett should spend less time attacking accomplished immigrants and more time addressing the real immigration crisis created by her party’s reckless open-border policies.
