Cat in the Hat Joins the Unemployment Line

The web is absolutely flooded with Dr. Seuss memes this week after cancel culture discovered invisible racism vapors floating within the pages of the beloved children’s book series. EBay has even joined in on the canceling now.

Owners of vintage copies of Dr. Seuss books started selling them for hundreds or even thousands of dollars since the books will no longer be in print. To help with the cancellation, eBay has blocked owners from selling the books. Can’t have children breathing those dangerous racism vapors!

As this meme observes, The Cat in the Hat is now joining the cartoon polar bear from Coca-Cola commercials and Mr. Potato Head in the unemployment line. Oh, sorry. We misgendered that last one.

Do we just call him Potato Head now? Whoops! Misgendered him… or they… again. Mx. Potato Head? All these new rules are so confusing!

Even though eBay is helping to cancel those Dr. Seuss books, Amazon is still taking a cut of the action. You can still find physical copies of Dr. Seuss books there for hundreds of dollars.
