Proving once again that he doesn’t even have a kindergarten level of understanding when it comes to economics, Joe Biden gave a speech demanding that gas stations across America lower their prices. It was yet another growling, snarling, dementia rage-fueled, obnoxious, old-man-yelling-at-a-squirrel sort of speech from a man who delivers nothing but those types of speeches these days.
The question now is whether gas stations are going to comply with Biden and cut into their profit margins even further. Gas stations obviously are not jacking up their prices out of greed as Biden suggests. (If they were greedy, why did they wait around all these years not spiking prices while Donald Trump was in office? Did they just get greedy after the 2020 election was stolen?)
Gas stations basically sell gas for the price they buy it at. They make their money selling chips, sodas and cigarettes inside the convenience store attached to the gas station.
If gas stations are forced by the government to lower the price of gas, there simply won’t be any more gas stations soon, because they won’t be able to afford to stay in business. Someone close to Joe Biden should explain these basic economic issues to him before it’s too late.
the discounters dont make much on gas but chevron……….everyone should boycott them…….seem to be making 40 to 60 cents a gallon…………….and that may be a low estimate……….they do not react to competition either…….shell is another 1 but no one tops chevron……..red white and blue logo
