On Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC,” HBO anchor and comedian Bill Maher questioned the length of time it takes for ballots to be calculated in American elections, saying that “having our ass kicked by Brazil is a little disheartening.”
“We do not have this kind of system anymore where the results come in on the night of the election,” Maher explained. “I was reading about Brazil, after all. They had a person, Bolsonaro, who was extremely similar to Trump, saying the election was rigged…but that election was completed in three hours. Every vote had been counted.”
“I’m certain that the people of Brazil are great, lovely people,” he added. “I know they all have a fantastic ass. But getting our asses kicked by Brazil is a little upsetting. I mean, we can not figure out stuff that other people seem to understand.”
“We should declare Election Day as a national holiday as a lot of other countries do,” Maher added. “And then — because I believe when voting goes on for several weeks or months, whatever that is going to do, even if it’s only a few days, this only sows suspicion in people’s minds because we do not really trust one another anymore, we all strongly dislike each other, we’re at one another throats, we’re inside this cold civil war type nation.”

Think about this; Pennsylvania, Why would ANYONE vote for a (person) that just recently had a stroke and can barely put words together to form a sentence? Really? This is who you want representing you and the state you live in? The only thing Fetterman is going to become is Pelosi & Schumer’s personal whipping/errand boy.

Corrupt elections happen all over the planet but it seems USA is too hypocritical about it & to recognize that US elections are as corrupt as in Africa or S.America. But then again US politicians do ANYTHING to get or stay in POWER especially the democrats! But USA proves again that you can BUY ANTHING incl. ELECTIONS for even in flated DOLLARS!!
We are not Africa or another 3rd world country. We used to get the results the same day.
I remember the elections of decades past when the outcome of those elections were announced the following day; in a time before the use of computers or advanced technology. It’s high time to throw all those computerized pieces of trash out and go back to actual “honest” elections!

That there are 50 different state rules for elections seems insane to me! ALL states should go back to paper ballots, put into a sealed envelope and then counted with equal representation of the parties overseeing the count. Except for extenuating circumstances, ALL voting should be on Election Day, which should, indeed, be a national holiday. Only those voting from overseas or with disabilities should be allowed to vote by absentee ballot. This makes simple common sense, with the least possibility for fraud. Why is this so difficult for every American to comprehend??!
Because the point is to make voting as easy as possible. Why is that so difficult for you to understand? I do agree that voting should be a national holiday.

Democrats now refer to “voter integrity” as “voter suppression”, so how is anyone who won’t call a woman a woman going to be happy with INTEGRITY?!!

Florida voters 7.5 million , counted in 4 to 5 hours , Arizona and Nevada have a 3rd of this vote count it takes them weeks , do they not know how to count or are they just plain stupid or corrupt
Make FL an example how to conduct an Election that people can trust. These season go on far too long and way too much money is spent, especially by the DemocRATS! It leaves a bad taste in our mouths no matter who wins and we couldn’t watch the ABC Networks with all the political ads every 5 minutes and the MSM can’t be impartial any longer! Totally disillusioned with America!

The divide and mistrust in this country is disheartening. Show up at the polls on election day to vote ( overseas and disabled exceptions). It is your right to vote–1 person – one vote??? If you are too stupid to understand the rules, too bad. Get some education before election day. You have to show ID to vote!!! Do excuse, everyone has some sort of identification, even if it is a food stamp credit card. Come on people, this can’t be that hard to figure out. Make it a Holiday an in order to go back to work, you have to turn in a card showing you voted. A double check on the election. Need more poll watchers too, we are running out of old ladies to run things as in the past. But don’t hold your breath, Congress can’t even come to a decision on Day Light Savings Time, election reform????Good luck folks.
