Somehow, the phrase “only in Texas” doesn’t even do this enough justice…
Earlier in June, a billboard appeared alongside the I-40 highway in Texas advising left-of-center drivers to continue on their way until they have left the state — an obvious nod to the deep red state’s reputation for being one of the most conservative states in the union.
“Dear liberals,” the sign read. “Please continue on I-40 until you have left our great state of Texas.”
Obviously, the sign was put up all in good fun — but liberals who had either seen the sign in person or on a social media post didn’t react the same way we did. And, to be fair…it’s hard to blame them.
According to Breitbart.com, the sign has since been taken down, with the person who initially put it up saying that it had “served its purpose.” Apparently, the intention was to make Democrats really upset. While we can’t pretend to not be amused by this, it should be noted that making liberals mad isn’t exactly hard to do…
