These Numbers Are Being Fudged for Political Reasons

One of the weirder things to come about in this whole coronavirus kerfuffle has been the way that deaths are being tabulated. This meme pretty much hits the nail on the head.

If the skydiver in this meme meets his end, do you really think that should be counted as a “COVID-19 death?” Most normal people would say no.

But for the media and for a lot of partisan health officials, that is exactly what is happening. The trend actually started in Italy. People who died in car crashes were being tested for COVID-19…after they had obviously died in a car crash. But if their corpse tests positive for the virus, they are counted as a COVID-19 casualty.

The same thing is happening here in America. For example, there were two teenagers who died last week, tragically, who were counted as coronavirus fatalities. It turned out that both of the teens actually died from other conditions – and just happened to be asymptomatic on the coronavirus.

Why are we being lied to like this? Because there will probably be a reckoning when this is all over. A lot of people overhyped this threat and we trusted them by shutting down the economy.
