The Most Idiotic Take on ‘Take The Knee’ Yet

These NFL memes are getting out of control, and so far this week they’ve shown no signs of slowing down on pages with a left-wing slant.

This image attempts to illustrate a hypocrisy on behalf of Donald Trump and his supporters over their position on the Confederate flag — whatever that is — and their opposition to the national anthem protests becoming commonplace during NFL football games.

Admittedly, the messaging here is pretty confusing. Yes, the Confederate flag (accurately referred to as the “Confederate battle flag”), is just that — a flag. But the whole point to the right’s objection to the top image is that they feel completely different about the American flag, a symbol of unity.

What the content creator is trying to do here is suggest the mainstream right in America has a preference for the controversial battle flag, and is therefore evidence of systemic racism in the country. However, this point falls apart seeing as how men who carried the actual American flag fought to defeat those who carried the flag displayed in the bottom portion of this image.
