Considering the President of the United States is a foul-mouthed reality television star, one would figure that it would be a lot easier to take his critics more seriously. But, every time a prominent Democratic politician or liberal celebrity steps into the limelight, President Donald Trump’s fan base becomes even more committed to its cause.
Consider the recent episode at the Video Music Awards, which saw its lowest ratings since the annual event began. Sure, there was some talk about music videos, but that’s not what made the headlines. Host and comedian Kevin Hart did, all because of his “brave” decision to insult the president in a room full of people that agree with him wholeheartedly. Take about an act of courage…
But it’s not just their tone deaf attitude that is turning Americans off — it’s the issues Democratic politicians are willing to throw their entire political weight behind.
The transgender bathroom issue should be an easy one — people should use the restroom that corresponds to whatever genitals they were born with. This isn’t to uphold some sort of patriarchy. This is to kelp men and women (mostly women) feel safe in an otherwise vulnerable environment.
But no. They can’t have that. They need to push an agenda down our throats because >1% of the population complained about something.
