The re-election of former President Donald Trump in November might be the end of journalistic freedom, according to MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace on “Deadline” on Monday.
According to Wallace, “One of the indications and one of the markers of a healthy, functioning democracy is the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner.”
“It’s a coming together, and at its core, the president doing everything properly praises and celebrates the free press,” she said. But beyond the humor, there was a serious issue that the president needed to address. Call it a darker undertone. It was also much more deeply serious. Given the events of November, we cannot guarantee that there will be a White House press corps, a free press, or even a White House correspondents’ dinner at the same moment seven months from now. Correct? It is not necessary to have one. Perhaps there is another standard that Trump defies.”
Wallace went on, “I may not be sitting here this time next year, depending on what happens in November, seven months from now. The free press and White House Correspondents’ Dinner might not exist. Furthermore, even though its absence will not cause our democracy to collapse right away, the broader threat remains. There is a candidate who openly mocks not only the free press, but also all of our liberties and the rule of law in general.
Oh give me a break! Do these people really think we are so stupid, that we don’t realize that they are full of crap? If they were ACTUALLY journalists, there would be no bias!!!! But that is not what is happening. They have made themselves judge, jury, and executioner of someone that they fear will destroy the deep state!
Hopefully Trump will take this country back from its slide into communism that Biden, Obama, and the rest of the Demoncrats have pushed us towards!!!! And hopefully he will stop the madness of wokeness, transgenderism, and all the bull excrement that people are to stupid to back away from!
