As this meme highlights, there’s foolhardiness and then there is Silicon Valley tech oligarch foolhardiness. We’re so old here at the Facts Not Memes mobile headquarters that we can remember when you could buy a pair of shoes without having to first check an ideological box on a form.
That old system that we used to have was pretty good. It worked. No one cared what political party you belonged to, and they would still do business with you even if they knew you held different beliefs. But then Democrats, aided by the tech oligarchs, decided that they would shatter the social contract.
They’re probably going to regret that. Especially when we turn those same rules around and start using them against the Democrats.
It’s true that America’s left controls the country’s cultural institutions — Hollywood, television, every major website on the internet, and so on. But let’s not pretend that the right has its own corner — because it does. And here’s a hint: it’s a bit more vital than Silicon Valley.
Oh, so now you’re a big libertarian thinking that private companies can deny services to people with different political beliefs? That’s going to work out extremely well for you guys. Especially when the parts of America that grow all of the food on the grocery store shelves in Silicon Valley start playing by the same rules.
