It takes a special level of cultural ignorance to post something this stupid — thankfully, Ben Shapiro is more than willing to point this out on a regular basis.
Salon, a hard-left website seemingly dedicated to spreading blatant misinformation with each passing minute, joined the rest of the hive mind in worshipping the latest Marvel release before most people have even had a chance to see it.
Because Black Panther features a predominantly black cast and an African setting, the movie has already been praised by the progressive establishment for some sort of historical significance. Salon followed in tow, going as far to say that the movie was the first of its kind with a black actor as the lead.
As Shapiro points out, this is verifiably false. Countless blockbuster films released over the past few decades have featured black protagonists. Just about every film featuring Will Smith or Jamie Foxx, for example, normally put those aforementioned actors at the center of their stories.
This tweet by Salon amounts to little more than race-baiting.
