Gender Studies Student Fights the Patriarchy By Being Sexist

Ah, the noble fight against the patriarchy — a battle wherein thousands of young women have been convinced to spend thousands of dollars to become basically unemployable.

This tweet is a gem for several reasons. First and foremost, the retort at the bottom is objectively hilarious and true. Gender studies degrees are, and will remain, the most economically useless degrees a college could possibly offer. Second, it provides us an honest look at how modern feminist academics actually think.

If this Twitter user is telling the truth, then that means there is actually at least one feminist professor out there encouraging her students to engage in blatantly sexist behavior. Of course, we’re not expecting a whole lot of people to care — feminists essentially get away with everything by crying louder than anyone else. But for those of us who are forced to live by the rules, it’s helpful to know what kind of people we’re actually dealing with.
