Why is Anyone Still Listening to Bill Gates?

If there is one phenomenon that has been more damaging to modern life in America than Trump Derangement Syndrome, it might be this odd new tendency that people have to put weird, unelected billionaires in charge. How exactly did we come to a place where Bill Gates gets to boss us around about coronavirus or global warming? We must have missed that election.

Just because Bill Gates is rich doesn’t mean he’s an authority on everything he talks about. Just the other day he tweeted a picture of himself drinking a glass of water next to a strange machine. He announced with the photo that he was drinking water made from human feces.

Thanks, Bill Gates. Could you please just go away now? And never, ever speak to us about drinking poo-water ever again? Didn’t you do enough harm to everyone’s psyche with Windows Vista?

And as this meme notes, Bill Gates is suddenly – somehow – now an expert on vaccines, despite the fact that he’s not a medical doctor. And he’d also like you to ignore all of those foreign news reports about the harm that vaccines from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have done in the Third World.
