The White House warned on Monday that the results of the midterm elections weren’t going to be known immediately, anticipating that it would take a few days to count all of the ballots.
“We may not know all of the election outcomes for several days. Counting all genuine ballots in a lawful and orderly manner takes time,” White House press sec. Karine Jean-Pierre stated.
During the daily White House press conference, she discussed Tuesday’s elections, emphasizing that “modern” elections need extra time to process votes.
“In modern elections, a growing number of ballots are cast early and by mail,” Jean-Pierre explained, adding that several states did not even begin counting votes until after polls closed.
Because of the various ways individuals voted, she predicted that state and municipal election results will take longer to count than in prior years.
“We live in a different era… We’re simply trying to engage with the American people and let them know that this process has obviously altered in modern elections,” Jean-Pierre remarked.
She was unwilling to commit to holding a press conference following the election, simply assuring reporters that the president will address the nation on Wednesday.
Jean-Pierre also didn’t say anything about what Biden would be doing on Election Day.
“He will have a very full schedule tomorrow here at the White House,” she said.

Executive Branch has nothing to do with elections or the control of voting. Now they are supposed to secure our borders and safety which they are not even making an effort to do. In fact they are doing the opposite.

Bull shit, millions of lottery tickets sold, countries in Europe that have millions of voters, they have the results within hours. Our election system is a disgrace.. we need, one vote in person with a valid photo ID and proof of citizenship, absentee ballots only for military out of the country.
Absentee ballots should also be allowed for people who work outside of their voting district and would not be home on election day, and absentee ballots should also be allowed for people who have medical issues that would prevent them from going to the poling stations.

Make Election Day a national holiday with mandatory photo ID and show up at your polling place to cast your paper ballot. Absentee ballots for military members and citizens stationed more than 100 miles from their residence and for hospitalized patients. Provide many more voting locations.

Well, who is surprised about ballots? I have just had enough of the crap with democrats. If citizens in these blue states think it’s ok to cheat so democrats can win, then you ask for every thing you are about to get. Why is it 50-60 years ago ballots counted by hand and was done in twelve- fifteen hours ,and only ballots count that was in voting place the day of election!
The only way we will achieve – or at least come close to achieving – honest election is the US is to return to in-person election day voting with Voter ID. Absentee voting should be limited to away military, out-of-state students, and hospitalized or home-bound individuals. Mass mail-in and vote harvesting that foster vote fraud must be eliminated.
In the U.K. all ballot papers cast at polling stations are manually counted and the results known within 24 hours in most cases . Postal ballots are the kiss of death for democracy.
