Ultimate Hypocrisy: Woke Psychologist’s Dark Secret Lands Him in Jail

In yet another shocking case of hypocrisy, a Canadian psychologist who claimed to help victims of trauma and gender issues has been arrested for possessing child pornography.

Dustin Hrycun, 45, of Calgary, Alberta, was arrested on multiple counts of possessing, accessing, and distributing child pornography, according to a news release from Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams’ Internet Child Exploitation unit.

Hrycun, who worked at Rising Sun Psychological Services, has treated both youth and adults, raising concerns about potential abuse of trust.

The Investigation: A Sickening Discovery

Authorities began investigating Hrycun in October, after a tip from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s National Child Exploitation Crimes Centre revealed that child sexual exploitation materials were being shared on Kik, a social media app notorious for illicit activity.

Following his arrest on Thursday, Hrycun was released from custody (because apparently, Canada isn’t that concerned about protecting children). However, police seized computers and electronic devices from his home and are conducting a full forensic analysis.

Given Hrycun’s history of working with minors, authorities have yet to determine whether his crimes are linked to any of his clients.

“Given the suspect’s position of care and trust, it is certainly concerning, and we can appreciate how clients would be alarmed,” said Staff Sgt. Mark Auger of the Internet Child Exploitation unit.

A Woke Profile That Aged Poorly

Before his arrest, Hrycun positioned himself as an advocate for progressive causes, particularly gender identity, trauma, and “religious trauma.”

In an online profile that has since been scrubbed, Hrycun touted his own survival of conversion therapy and marketed himself as an ally for people struggling with sexuality and gender issues.

He even described his approach as being “apart from the pretension and stigmas of the psychology world”—a convenient way to avoid accountability while masquerading as a champion of the marginalized.

Translation? Another self-righteous “expert” using woke ideology as a smokescreen for something much darker.

The Bottom Line: Beware of the Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing

This case is just another reminder that the loudest voices preaching about morality and justice are often the ones hiding the worst secrets.

Hrycun’s career as a psychologist gave him direct access to vulnerable people—and yet, under the protection of progressive narratives, he was able to operate unchecked until authorities caught up with him.

As the investigation unfolds, the real question is: How many more of these so-called “experts” are out there hiding in plain sight?
