TYT Founder Contradicts Statement on Cops in Two Tweets

Progressive YouTube personality Cenk Uygur, founder and presenter for the popular channel known as The Young Turks, has made some confusing statements regarding his feelings about law enforcement.

The first tweet follows the outrage typically associated with movements like Black Lives Matter, which commonly contend that an epidemic of police brutality reigns supreme throughout the United States. This statement charges that police officers are primarily trained to shoot first and ask questions never, going as far to suggest that shootings involving cops are often done out of fear.

In this example, Cenk is pretty clear: he’s not a huge fan of the police.

The next tweet is where things get confusing.

Here, he’s following the narrative that the 2016 presidential election was stolen from Hillary Clinton, and any opposition to what seems like a fruitless investigation into that matter demonstrates disrespect for law enforcement at large.

Apparently, Cenk is only anti-police if it supports his worldview.
