Actually, scratch that — we’re not going to apologize for anything. The man we’re talking about deserves to be called every foul name you can think of, and perhaps some made-up ones too. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the slain leader of the Islamic State which imposed a bloodthirsty tyranny across the Middle East, was an absolute monster through and through. But in the end, he was revealed to be exactly what he was: a coward.
How much of a coward was he? Well, after American forces began storming the cave where he was hiding, he grabbed three children and fled. He wasn’t trying to save their lives. No, he knows the values of the West — Americans don’t kill children. So, by having three children with them, he thought he could escape justice, or at least prolong his overdue judgement just a little bit longer. In the end, rather than face that judgement himself, he detonated the explosives strapped to his body, ending his life as well as the lives of the children with him. Again: a coward.
President Trump didn’t pay any respects to the terrorist after he was killed. There was no traditional Islamic funeral at sea. None of that. Instead, he went on TV to humiliate the corpse even further — and even that is more than what this man deserved.
