The days of Biden’s open-border circus are officially over. President Donald Trump is flipping the script on illegal immigration with a bold new strategy—and this time, it’s all about self-deportation.
On Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) rolled out a brand-new app: CBP Home, which will replace Biden’s infamous CBP One app, a program that allowed illegal immigrants to schedule their own arrival into the country. Instead of giving migrants a free pass into America, Trump’s CBP Home app is designed to help them leave.
“The Biden Administration exploited the CBP One App to allow more than 1 million aliens to illegally enter the United States. With the launching of the CBP Home App, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced.
This isn’t just a minor tweak—it’s a total reversal of Biden’s disastrous policies. The CBP Home app will allow illegal immigrants to submit their intent to depart and verify when they leave the country. If they take the option, they may still be eligible to return legally in the future. But Noem made it clear that for those who don’t comply, there will be no second chances.
“The CBP Home App gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream. If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return,” Noem warned.
Trump wasted no time tearing apart Biden’s open-border disaster. On Day One, he ended the use of CBP One for parole programs and put a stop to migrants boarding domestic flights using the app. His administration also froze parole extensions, ramped up deportations, and cut back on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) abuse.
The results speak for themselves. Illegal crossings have dropped dramatically as the message spreads: the free ride is over.
Trump himself put it best in his speech to Congress last week: “They heard my words, and they chose not to come. Much easier that way.”
