Assassination suspect Ryan Wesley Routh allegedly offered $150,000 to “whoever can finish the job,” according to a letter the Justice Department has released.
The Justice Department said it got the information from a source. That witness said they got the letter in a box months ago, but they didn’t open it until they found out Routh was involved in an attempt to kill someone in Palm Beach on September 14, 2024. Reports say the box had several letters inside. One seemed to be about the latest attempt to kill Trump; it was addressed to the world and said, “Dear World, sorry for failing to kill Donald Trump.” He supposedly wrote that letter and gives $150,000 to anyone who can finish the job and kill the former president.
The letter says, “This was an attempt to kill Donald Trump, and I’m so sorry I let you down.”
“I did my best and had all the courage I could muster. Now it is up to you to finish the job, and I will pay $150,000 to the person who does it,” the message says.
“Everyone in the world, young and old alike, knows that Trump is not fit to be president of the United States. It also says that U.S. leaders should at least live up to the moral standards of America by being kind, caring, and generous and always standing up for people.”
The message comes at a time when Florida is looking into the second attempt to kill Trump.
Lara Ingraham asked Florida Governor DeSantis if the feds are helping with the investigation and if he was worried that he wasn’t getting the information he needed. DeSantis replied, “The answer is no. They are not working with us.”
The governor said, “Our agents were turned away just by going to the fence line outside of Donald Trump’s International Golf Club in West Palm Beach.” He said that the state was investigating because there were “multiple violations of Florida law across multiple counties.”
“We think there are at least three rounds of courts,” he said.
