This week, former President Donald Trump highlighted Vice President Kamala Harris’s Indian ancestry by posting a picture of her family.
“I appreciate you sending me that lovely photo from a long time ago, Kamala!” On Truth Social, Trump shared something. “We are very grateful for your kindness, friendliness, and love of your Indian heritage.”
One day prior, Trump stated of Harris, “I didn’t realize she was black until some years ago when she happened to turn into a black woman, and, now, she wants to be recognized as black.” This is the same day that he made his statement against Harris.
According to Trump’s line of attack, Harris conveniently exploits her mixed ethnicity.
Mike Davis, the founder and president of the pro-Trump Article III Project, stated that Kamala Harris is black when she is trying to win votes and Indian when she is raising money.
The establishment media was “spinning” after Trump’s remark. Upon seeing the remark, they quickly shifted the focus of the story and attacked the former president for “baselessly challenging Harris’ multicultural origins.”
However, a 2016 Business Insider headline stated, “California’s Kamala Harris becomes the first Indian-American US senator,” as Politico Playbook noted on Thursday.
At his event on Thursday, the Trump team displayed the Business Insider headline on a screen.
Kamala is black.
