Trump Blasts ABC Reporter: ‘You’re Fake News!’

President Trump once again showed the American public exactly why he commands respect—and why he’s the only one willing to take on the mainstream media head-on. During an executive order signing ceremony in the Roosevelt Room Monday, the president sharply rebuked an ABC reporter who insinuated that a Boeing 747 airplane provided by Qatar to the Department of Defense was somehow a “personal gift” to him.

The reporter, clearly attempting to smear President Trump, began to ask what he would say to critics who viewed the luxury jet as a personal gift. Trump, never one to allow the media’s false narratives to stand, swiftly interjected, “You’re ABC fake news, right?” He continued, “Let me tell you, you should be embarrassed asking that question. They’re giving us a free jet. I could say, ‘No, no, no…I want to pay you a billion or $400 million, or whatever it is.’ Or I could say, ‘Thank you very much.'”

The truth behind this situation is straightforward and logical—two qualities too often missing from the ABC newsroom, it seems. The fact is that Boeing’s current timeline to produce presidential aircraft is significantly delayed. As a goodwill gesture, Qatar offered to provide a suitable aircraft temporarily. This isn’t corruption or a scandal—it’s common sense and a practical solution to a logistical problem. President Trump explained it clearly: “They knew about it, and they said, ‘We would like to do something.’ And if we can get a 747, as a contribution to our Defense Department to use during a couple of years while they’re building the other ones, I think that was a very nice gesture.”

This incident is yet another example of how the establishment media twists reality to stir controversy where none exists. Instead of focusing on the generosity of an ally or the practical need for reliable aircraft for America’s president and military leadership, they invent a scenario of corruption—one that feeds into their endless anti-Trump narrative.

But the President isn’t fooled, and neither are the American people. Trump stated plainly, “Now I could be a stupid person and say, ‘Oh no, we don’t want a free plane.’ We give free things out. We’ll take one too.” He further noted that the current presidential planes are 40 years old, outdated, and incredibly costly to maintain. Accepting Qatar’s temporary contribution isn’t only logical—it’s fiscally responsible. Where were ABC News and their media colleagues when the Biden administration wasted billions on reckless spending? Silent, of course.

The president also reminded everyone of the larger strategic picture. America provides security and stability to our allies in the Middle East, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. “If it wasn’t for us, they probably wouldn’t exist right now. And I think this was just a gesture of good faith,” Trump explained. This isn’t about personal favors or luxury gifts—it’s about America’s strength, leadership, and commitment to its allies.

Yet, predictably, Democrats and their allies in the media are already feigning outrage, accusing the president of unethical behavior and constitutional violations. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) even suggested that Trump cannot accept the plane without congressional consent. This phony outrage is nothing more than a partisan game, designed to distract from President Trump’s successes on key America First priorities: securing our borders, reviving manufacturing, reforming trade, and ending endless foreign entanglements.

The American people see right through the media’s manipulation. They see a president who is unafraid to speak plainly and bluntly confront media dishonesty. They see a president who puts America first, who accepts common-sense solutions instead of playing political games. And they recognize that the media’s real goal isn’t truth or accountability—it’s undermining a president who dares to stand up for American interests, no matter how much it offends the establishment elite.
