This Seems Even Scarier Than Having Biden in the White House

Well, we’ve arrived, America! Bernie Sanders has finally realized one of his lifelong dreams. No, not his dream of the being the Democrat nominee for president. The DNC yanked that out from under him twice in a row through shenanigans.

Bernie has finally realized his other lifelong dream, which is to be put in charge of the Senate Budget Committee. Just try to imagine what your American ancestors would think about a political party putting a literal communist who spent his honeymoon in the USSR in charge of that committee (or any committee in Congress).

If you thought congressional spending has been out of control for the past few decades, just wait until you see the numbers on some of Bernie’s “big plans” for America, like Medicare for All (Including Illegal Aliens) or Universal Basic Income. As this meme notes, the fox is finally being placed in charge of the hen house.

More appropriately, this is like putting a 10-year-old kid in charge of a candy store — and then acting surprised when the inventory suddenly goes missing.

On the other hand, there is one silver lining about this whole thing. Whenever Democrats have had the majority in the US Senate in the 21 st century, they have never been able to pass a budget. Not even once.

Apparently, when you have a bunch of quasi-socialists trying to get their own pet projects funded — everyone else’s be damned — it’s rather difficult to one to any consensus. So…the best Americans can do right now is pray for that incompetence to continue.
