But the real magic of this meme is in the re-worked song lyrics that describe the real-world effects of the Green New Deal. “No food, no lights, no motor cars, not a single luxury.”
If you want to see what happens to a country that adopts all the tenets of the Green New Deal, look no further than Sri Lanka. After they banned fertilizer to save the earth from global warming, people started starving. Their government collapsed. They had a real insurrection to overthrow the government.
