The Trump-Russia Routine is Back

For a while, it appeared as if Democrats in the media and on Capitol Hill were finally beginning to accept the fact that their 2016 electoral defeat was theirs alone. But with the release of Hillary Clinton’s treatise on excuses, we’re right back where we started.

This image appeared on the Facebook page Occupy Democrats, taking its name from the same rioters who routinely committed acts of vandalism in some sort of anti-corporate revolt. It features a photoshopped image of President Donald Trump testifying before Congress, a liberal fantasy if there ever was one.

Throughout the past eight months, we’ve been told that special counsel Robert Mueller is “closing in” on some hard evidence proving that the Trump campaign knowingly colluded with the Russian government to steal Hillary Clinton’s coronation – er, election.

So far, there have only been two individuals somewhat linked to the Kremlin, both of which were given the boot by Trump and his other advisors. Beyond that, there has been precisely zero evidence that Trump’s victory over the most unpopular candidate in modern political history had anything to do with the Kremlin.
