Libs’ Latest ‘Decolonization’ Target Will Enrage You

The woke mob has finally come for Shakespeare. Yes, that Shakespeare—the world’s most celebrated playwright, whose works have defined Western literature for over 400 years. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, the organization tasked with preserving the playwright’s legacy, is now working to “decolonize” his work—because apparently, the Bard of Avon is now a tool of White supremacy.

According to The Telegraph, the Trust is feverishly scrubbing its collection of Shakespeare-related artifacts to ensure they align with today’s leftist agenda. This includes investigating how Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet somehow contributed to “colonial inculcation” and the spread of “British cultural superiority.” The Trust warns that its archives contain materials that could be “racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise harmful.” Because nothing screams hate speech like a 16th-century playwright writing in iambic pentameter.

So what’s their solution? Instead of celebrating Shakespeare as the literary titan he is, they’re reframing him as just “one of many” voices from around the world—downgrading his contributions so he doesn’t overshadow more “diverse” writers. They’re even adding Bollywood dance workshops and Bengali poetry readings to his birthplace museum because—why not?

This isn’t just historical revisionism; it’s a direct attack on Western civilization itself. Shakespeare’s plays don’t promote “White supremacy”—they explore universal themes of love, power, betrayal, and ambition. But the left isn’t satisfied until every Western institution is dismantled and repackaged under the banner of “equity.”

It was never about Shakespeare. It’s about erasing history, demonizing European culture, and replacing it with leftist dogma. And unless people start pushing back, there won’t be much of the West left to preserve.
