The Left’s Insane Attack on Mark Wahlberg

Apparently, leftist media outlets like NowThis know just as much about how contract negotiation works as they do about the economy and taxes…

Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg became an object of scorn for liberals across America when it was revealed he received $1.5 million to reshoot scenes for the film All The Money in The World, while co-star Michelle Williams was paid less than $1,000 for the same reason.

On the surface, this seems like a cut-and-dry example of the patriarchy hard at work to oppress women of all career stripes. A bit of digging into the real story, however, reveals that Williams was not as cheated as sites like NowThis would have us believe.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Williams and other talent involved with the film worked for no charge to reshoot the scenes — which were done out of haste due to disgraced actor Kevin Spacey’s departure from the project. Wahlberg, however, managed to negotiate a favorable agreement with his employer.

In other words, the only thing Wahlberg did differently was protest being asked to work for free. This is certainly an option Williams had, but chose not to execute.
