Stop Pretending Sharia Law is About Finance — It’s Not

Outspoken “feminist” Linda Sarsour is becoming a modern day political icon for the left, with scores of followers being convinced that Sharia law is simply about interest free loans…or something.

The feminist label was put in quotes in the above paragraph for a simple reason: female liberation is entirely incompatible with Sharia law — that is, the theocratic doctrine on which the laws of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar, and other oppressive regimes are based.

Sarsour, who recently made her rounds in the mainstream media when she openly declared a “jihad” against President Donald Trump, is pushing the idea that Sharia law has less to do with forcing women to cover themselves in public, and more to do with a debt-free society.

Interestingly, the actual regimes governed by Sharia would disagree.

Sharia law holds nonbelievers and so-called sinners in contempt. It is precisely this ideology that the Islamic State uses to justify throwing homosexuals off of rooftops.

Perhaps its time for the “tolerant” left to choose their friends more carefully?
