Schumer’s Anti-Trump ‘Whistleblower’ Tipline Backfires Spectacularly

(NEW) Senator Schumer's Remarks After Democrats Keep Control Of Senate. November 13, 2022, New York, USA: Senate Majority Leader, U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) speaks to press after democrats keep control of senate on November 13, 2022 in New York City. Senator Schumer called the midterm elections "a victory and a vindication" for Democrats after the results of the Nevada U.S. Senate race handed control back to the party. The fate of the House was still uncertain as the GOP struggled to pull together a slim majority there.

Chuck Schumer thought he was setting a trap for President Trump, but his new “whistleblower” tipline turned into a conservative free-for-all, with Schumer himself becoming the most reported figure of the day.

The Senate Minority Leader unveiled a portal Monday for “brave public servants” to report government corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety—clearly designed to target Trump’s administration as he revamps federal agencies with Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

But instead of Democrats flooding the site with complaints about Trump, conservatives hijacked the system and started reporting Schumer himself—along with Biden, Harris, and the entire Democrat party.

Schumer’s rollout quickly turned into an internet joke, with Musk himself mocking the New York senator.

“Look into this Schumer guy, he’s definitely done crime!” Musk posted on X, setting the tone for what was to come.

Federalist editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway posted a screenshot of her reporting Schumer for threatening Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch.

Conservative commentator Steve Guest doubled down, reminding Schumer of his infamous 2020 rant aimed at Kavanaugh and Gorsuch:

“You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

Not to be outdone, Senator Ted Cruz got in on the action:

“Great! I wanna report: Joe Biden. Kamala Harris. Chuck Schumer. And the entire corrupt Democrat party that weaponized & abused the federal government for the past four years.”

It didn’t take long for the meme army to take over. One user, Wall Street Mav, posted a photo of Schumer posing with an undercooked cheeseburger, calling it ‘an abuse of power and a threat to public safety.’

Comedian Tim Young pointed out that Schumer’s entire tipline is redundant thanks to Trump’s DOGE initiative:

“We already have that… it’s called DOGE.”

Meanwhile, John Paul Mac Isaac, the laptop repairman who exposed Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, took the opportunity to remind Schumer that he helped push the FBI’s false “Russian disinformation” narrative.

“I’m reporting you! After I went to Congress, trying to [warn] you about the laptop, you turned around and demanded the FBI warn Congress of foreign interference,” Isaac wrote.

Schumer’s attempt to undermine Trump has backfired spectacularly. Instead of fueling another anti-Trump witch hunt, the portal became a national joke—and a reminder of Schumer’s own corruption, hypocrisy, and history of dangerous rhetoric.

While Democrats scramble to find ways to derail Trump’s plan to clean up government waste, conservatives are having too much fun turning their own weapons against them.
