In what could truly be considered a “low energy” post, the content creators over at Occupy Democrats have resorted to one of the oldest tricks in the book — comparing President Donald Trump to disgraced former President Richard Nixon.
Policy-wise, the two men are hardly similar, though they appear to receive similar treatment from the press. What truly sets them apart, however, is their historic standing with the black community in the United States.
It wasn’t long ago when Trump was publicly praised by the likes of Jesse Jackson — one of the most famous black civil rights activists in America. It was only a couple years ago when then-citizen Trump used his resources to help fund relief efforts in Haiti, as Rand Paul recently discussed.
So, when Trump claims he is not a racist — he means it. He only became a racist in the eyes of the media when he ran for president as a Republican.
