With radical left-wing activists like Michael Moore labeling the NRA as a “terrorist organization” over the fact that the lobby group doesn’t want to march lock-step with what progressives want, gun owners across the nation have been charged with being unmoved by the tragedy in Parkland.
These gun owners, we are told, care more about their capacity to kill than preventing the deaths of innocent people. If we take this narrative at face value, it seems as though Second Amendment advocates have resisted every gun control measure possible. Sadly for the left, the facts do not support this argument.
As shown in the image to the left, there have been multiple laws passed aimed at restricting gun rights for Americans. While the effectiveness of these laws is certainly up for debate, there’s no question that last item has done precisely nothing to curtail violence at schools.
We cannot let the left run this narrative. The fact of the matter is that extensive gun control has been passed in the United States already, with even more restrictions put through in individual states and cities. Clearly, this hasn’t changed the outcome much.
