Leave it up to the progressive left to rely entirely on works of fiction to support their non-arguments…
In this image, we see a protest sign featured during the March for Our Lives event, a supposedly student-led grassroots demonstration done to promote political action on gun control. The event featured CNN favorites such as David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez, teenagers who were present during the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida.
On the surface, the demonstration was a common sense call to action to ensure deadly weapons don’t fall into the wrong hands again. But make no mistake, the true purpose of the protest was to ensure that no weapons fall into any hands again — a de facto call to repeal the Second Amendment entirely.
Now, we can probably assume that the individual behind this crude sign wasn’t thinking of the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, but instead the Disney film which drew inspiration from it. The funny part about this sign is that Mulan, the woman-turned-soldier on which the film revolves around, did use a firearm against the Hun invasion. There is a scene wherein the heroine grabs a primitive firearm and uses it to cause an avalanche, halting the enemy advance.
In short — nothing about this meme makes sense at all.
