According to a CBS News/YouGov poll on Sunday, Americans are very concerned about the path the country may go under President Biden in 2023.
71% of Americans said they are “scared” or “angry” about the direction the nation is going in 2023. 49 percent of respondents claimed to be “scared,” while 22 percent described themselves as “mad.” In 2023, only 11% of people claimed to be “enthusiastic” about it.
Only 7% of people think Biden’s leadership is succeeding very well. 30% thought it was doing very poorly.
The cost of commodities (70 percent), American politics (70 percent), the chances for world peace and stability (63 percent), and the stock market (59 percent), are among the subjects about which Americans express the most pessimism.
56 percent of respondents claimed that Biden’s economy has been deteriorating. Only 21% of people said that things are improving.
Bloomberg estimates that in 2022, inflation will cost American family’s an additional $5,200, or $433 each month. That amount was predicted by Moody’s to be $5,520 annually.
Additionally, respondents said that achieving American energy independence 54%, reducing crime 63%, and lowering inflation 76% should be the top goals for Congress.
Over the course of January 4–6, the survey sampled 2,144 Americans, with a 2.9-point margin of error.
