Liberals Keep Flip-Flopping on Trump Visiting Texas

The American left simply cannot make up its mind on whether or not President Donald Trump visiting a disaster-ridden area of the country is a good thing.

Before the storm hit, cable outlets like CNN and MSNBC slammed the commander-in-chief for dropping fairly significant news on the same day Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, Texas. This criticism was of course followed up by calls for the president to dedicate all of his energy to the natural disaster, even though responsibility for the initial response is left up to authorities on the ground.

Now, we’re seeing the president’s critics change their mind again, with tweets like this suggesting that a mere visit will bring forth apocalyptic winds and endless rainfall.

The truth is that President Trump has been handling the situation as effectively as any administration could have — certainly more effectively than George W. Bush’s infamously sluggish response to Hurricane Katrina.

Hurricane Harvey marks Trump’s real first crisis as president, and he has already checked off most of the important items on his list: offering Texas all the aid it asks for, waiting for authorities on the ground to give the green light for a visit, and deploying FEMA within hours.

Everything is happening exactly as it’s supposed to, and liberals can’t stand it.
