Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for president and Vice President, said on CBS’s “60 Minutes” this week that she owns a Glock semi-automatic gun.
Bill Whitaker, a reporter, said, “This is a hard left turn, but you recently surprised people when you said you own a gun and would shoot someone who came into your house.”
“That’s not the first time I’ve talked about it,” Harris said.
The police officer asked, “What kind of gun do you have? When and why did you get it?”
She said, “I have a Glock, and I’ve had it for a while. Look, Bill, I used to work as a police officer, so there you have it.”
He asked, “Have you ever fired it?”
He replied, “Of course I have. At a gun range. Of course I have, yes.”
