Just a Quick Reminder of Where Iran Has Stood for Decades…

After President Donald Trump ordered a missile strike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, a man classified as a terrorist by U.S. intelligence agencies, Democrats in Congress and the media damn near wet themselves in rage.

Democratic politicians, who still lament Trump’s reversal on the Obama-era Iranian nuclear deal which Tehran had no intention of actually following, thought the targeted strike marked serious damage to U.S.-Iran relations. This, they said, would be the catalyst that launches the entire globe into World War III.

This isn’t unique to the left, either. We have to be fair: there are plenty on the isolationist right that lost their mind over this too. This includes many pundits that supported Donald Trump in 2016, and continue to do so now.

Here’s the thing: Iran has never been a fan of the United States, the values that it stands for, or the allies it protects. The “death to America” chant captured on video in Tehran is something of a regular occurrence.

If the mullahs, which rule Iran with an iron fist, are actually dumb enough to challenge the most powerful fighting force in the history of human civilization, it won’t be over this.
