If Universal Healthcare is so Great, Why Are Mexicans Refusing it?

The left has proven time and time again that they are absolutely clueless about immigration – legal and illegal – and today’s meme breakdown is no exception.

The goal here is to undermine the conservative argument that illegal immigration places an unsustainable burden on America’s healthcare system – a system liberals criticize for allegedly not being sufficiently accessible to the underclass.

“But I thought Mexicans came here to get our healthcare,” the boy in the picture says.

“Mexico has had universal healthcare since 2012,” the older man says, embracing the boy supposedly to comfort his faux innocence.

Word is out on whether or not the content creator here realizes this, but this meme actually presents a firm case against universal healthcare. If socialized medicine is so wonderful, why would you risk everything to flee to country that uses a private system?

The truth is that freedom is no longer the primary reason why individuals are risking life and limb to cross America’s borders. Making it to American soil brings the promise of a free education, a bloated welfare state, and a culture that will assimilate to you instead of the other way around.
