How Would Jeb Bush Handle Kim Jong Un?

If only we had elected another Bush…all our problems would vanish into thin air.

This meme serves as a bit of a throwback to Jeb Bush’s most embarrassing moment on the campaign trail — that is, when he was forced to ask his own audience to applaud for him during a speech. After all, the nickname “low energy Jeb” didn’t come from no where.

While ridiculous, this meme does call into question what the younger Bush brother would do in Trump’s place if he was actually elected — ignoring the fact that he would have likely lost to Hillary Clinton in the general election.

Despite claims to the contrary, Jeb’s political philosophy is not terribly different from the rest of his family. Like his presidential relatives, he is generally favorable of nation-building, massive military spending, and aggressive foreign policy.

Trump made rounds during the Republican primary season for actually detracting from this. Even so, it’s hard to imagine he would take Kim Jong Un’s threatening comments sitting down, so we’d likely be in a very similar position we are now if anyone else had been elected — including Jeb.

Donald Trump didn’t invent the North Korean problem. That happened on its own.
