From War Profiteer to Twitter Troll—How Did Cheney Fall So Far?

Liz Cheney, the disgraced former congresswoman who was humiliated at the ballot box, just launched a xenophobic attack on Elon Musk, proving once again that the left will tolerate any smear as long as it’s aimed at their political enemies.

Musk’s crime? Posting a one-word xweet: “Interesting.”

Cheney Can’t Handle Musk’s Truth Bomb

Musk was responding to a post from Mike Benz, executive director of Freedom Forum Online, who pointed out Cheney’s deep ties to USAID, the government money pit that Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is working to expose for its reckless, unaccountable billions in taxpayer-funded spending.

“Liz Cheney, who led Trump’s impeachment and the mass imprisonment campaign against thousands of Trump supporters, was spawned out of USAID,” Benz posted.

That was enough to send Cheney into a defensive tailspin, where she not only responded to the wrong Elon Musk account, but also attacked Musk’s Americanism.

“Damn right, @Elon. I’m proud of what America did to win the Cold War, defeat Soviet communism, and defend democracy,” Cheney seethed. “Our nation stood for freedom. You may be unfamiliar with that part of our history since you weren’t yet an American citizen.”

Cheney Puts the Left’s Hypocrisy On Display

The same people who scream about “xenophobia” any time a Republican dares to talk about border security or American jobs suddenly have no problem “othering” Elon Musk for being a naturalized citizen.

News flash for Cheney: Musk CHOSE to become an American—which is more than can be said for many of the lifelong Washington insiders who treat citizenship like a birthright rather than something to be earned and valued.

Even worse for Cheney, the Cold War wasn’t just an “American” thing. It was a global fight for freedom—something Musk, a man who fled the failed socialist experiment in South Africa, understands far better than the D.C. war hawks who got rich off endless military conflicts.

Projecting Much Cheney?

Cheney’s cheap shot is just another example of the left accusing conservatives of the very things they’re guilty of.

  • They call Trump authoritarian, yet they cheer on the Biden DOJ as it targets political opponents.
  • They accuse the right of McCarthyism, yet they silence dissent and destroy reputations with false accusations.
  • They claim Musk is a threat to democracy, yet they desperately want him censored because he allows free speech.

And now, Cheney has exposed herself as nothing more than another desperate, bitter leftist willing to use identity politics when it suits her.

Liz Cheney Still Irrelevant

Let’s not forget: Cheney’s political career ended in humiliation, losing her primary by nearly 40 points after selling out to the establishment. Now, she’s stuck playing Twitter warrior, lashing out at the man who’s actually doing something to fix America’s broken government.

Elon Musk isn’t the problem—career politicians like Cheney are.
