Florida For Kamala? Dems Have Strange Plans For State

Following Joe Biden’s abrupt withdrawal from the 2024 presidential contest, a week of polls revealed that Donald Trump and Kamala Harris were in a close fight. Since the former president has a slight advantage both nationally and in the battleground states, Democrats have renewed optimism. Additionally, it’s causing some blatant delusions.

A number of videos from The Villages in Florida started making the rounds on social media on Saturday. They purported to show enormous attendance for a procession of golf carts endorsing Harris.

In case you are unaware, Barbie Hall is a Democrat from The Villages who is vying for Congress. Daniel Webster, a Republican, currently holds the congressional seat after winning by over 30 points in 2022. As previously mentioned, this region of Florida, now an extremely red state, is heavily Republican.

Nevertheless, Hall spent the whole day talking about what a huge deal this purportedly was. Her remarks really reached the highest echelons of the Democratic hierarchy. Jaime Harrison, the DNC chair, stated that Florida is now on the table.

Charlie Crist, a nearly identically awful candidate, defeated Nikki Fried in the primary, making her an unsuccessful attempt to become the next governor of Florida. However, following the Democratic tradition of failure, the Democratic Party immediately appointed Fried as state director. That has progressed roughly as expected.

So what exactly was the significance of this golf cart parade? Currently, approximately 79,000 people live in The Villages. Hall claims that there were “over 200 golf carts” at this event, however, the films seem to overestimate this number. To be kind, let’s assume that there were two individuals in each and every golf cart. That’s 400 people turning up to drive around for a short while during the height of Harris’ honeymoon. To you, does that seem like a huge deal? Or does it seem wholly unrelated and unrepresentative of anything occurring in Florida?

To be honest, I hope Democrats really take this stuff seriously. In the hopeless hope that Nikki Fried and company can deliver it in November, please go pour millions of dollars worth of limited resources into the Sunshine State. Heck, go ahead and purchase some ads now. There should be a demonstration by the vice president.

I’ve never hidden my opinion that Harris poses a real threat and is more difficult to defeat than Joe Biden. If Republicans don’t take her seriously, she can win this thing hands down, but there’s a difference between appreciating your opponent and falling for their lies. No matter how many golf cart parades The Villages has, Florida is out of the picture.
