Fact Check: The Feds ARE Deployed in Puerto Rico

Liberals have been waiting for the chance to jump on President Trump over alleged mishandling of the slew of hurricanes hitting American soil, but the hyperbole displayed so far has been nothing but dishonest.

Administrators in Florida and Texas both reported being satisfied with the federal government’s response, even though state governments are actually charged with fronting the bulk of the bill during these type of events.

And then there’s Puerto Rico.

According to left-leaning pages, Trump is failing American citizens by turning a blind eye to Puerto Rico in the wake of the destructive Hurricane Maria. The problem is that even the mainstream liberal press these individuals love to read is reporting that this simply isn’t true.

According to CNN, even private volunteers have been struggling with delivering aid to the U.S. territory. Expensive shipping costs and tumultuous conditions have made these deliveries difficult.

In response to the problem, the New York Times is reporting the administration has waived the age-old Jones Act to facilitate faster deliveries. The law requires that outbound deliveries from the United States to be owned and operated by Americans.
