Even Jill Biden Has a Hard Time Making Her Husband Sound Cool

Former Vice President Joe Biden is an inevitability for the Democratic Party in 2020. That’s just the long and short of it.

Despite the litany of other options on the table, Biden is regularly the only candidate to break double digits in the polls. Sure, a lot of this is his name recognition and the fact that he’s perceived to be the only “moderate” in the race, but there’s another reason why Biden still seems unstoppable despite his endless personal shortfalls.

You see, Democratic Party insiders are still living in the Obama era. They know that the middle of the country doesn’t want to lose their health insurance, or pay for illegal immigrants to receive free healthcare. They know that open borders are a stupid idea. That’s why they’re running a nostalgia campaign.

But make no mistake, these people aren’t happy about supporting Joe Biden. They’re doing it out of necessity. If Biden isn’t the nominee, then President Trump will probably spend the better part of a year ripping on a socialist — and Americans will agree with him even if they personally don’t care for the commander-in-chief.

Biden isn’t a passion candidate. He’s a “swallow your pride and vote” candidate.
