Elon Musk Trolls the Onion and It’s Epic

The Onion, a non-funny comedy website that lost all its relevance back in 2009 when it decided comedy should only be used to attack Republicans, tried to troll Elon Musk this week. The Onion put out an article that lumped Musk in with the Silicon Valley tech oligarchs like Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey. It didn’t go well for them.

Musk retweeted the Onion’s article about him and then asked, “Have your read @TheBabylonBee? It’s great!”

Hilarious!

The Babylon Bee, of course, has far surpassed The Onion in terms of the being the funniest and most-read comedy website on the internet. And Elon Musk is right. The Babylon Bee is great!

Besides, who lumps Elon Musk in with Jack Dorsey? Musk is just kind of doing his own thing, building an outer space empire and building electric cars and flamethrowers. He’s not some tech oligarch who’s trying to censor what you can say or think.

Anyway, Musk’s minor dust-up with The Onion this week actually spawned this Lion King-themed meme. He’s holding up The Babylon Bee’s little bee logo as the new undisputed “king of the jungle.” Well played, Elon Musk. Well played!
