Never one known to pass up playing up the tried and true “diversity is our strength” bit, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren got into a bit of a scuffle on the internet during her latest attempt at virtue signaling.
As we can see in this tweet, Warren tried to credit the power of the U.S. Armed Forces — the most lethal military force to walk the face of the Earth — to how many non-white people serve within it. Make no mistake, when leftists say “diversity,” it is a code word for “not white.” That’s all it means.
Naturally, Daily Wire editor-in-chief Ben Shapiro was more than happy to correct her by pointing out an obvious truth. What makes America’s military great isn’t the skin rainbow it may or may not represent. It’s the fact that, if unleashed to its fullest extent, it could wipe out any foe in a matter of days.
It’s been a very long time since the full capabilities of the U.S. military have been utilized. Even the Vietnam War, which claimed the lives of over 60,000 Americans, was characterized by restraint in Washington.
There is a reason why European countries are free to invest so much of their funds into their cozy welfare states. At the end of the day, they don’t really need to worry too much about fighting the bad guys, because they have a well-armed friend that’s more than happy to do it for them.
