The Walt Disney Company is quietly backing away from its radical Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda, dropping its controversial “Reimagine Tomorrow” program from its 2024 SEC filing.
This move comes as Disney faces mounting pressure from investors frustrated with the company’s obsession with woke politics over profitability.
Disney Tries to Bury Its DEI Disaster
According to Disney’s latest SEC 10-K filing, the “Reimagine Tomorrow” program, previously featured in the DEI section, has been removed.
In 2023, Disney described the program as “the Company’s digital destination for amplifying underrepresented voices and features some of Disney’s DE&I commitments and actions.” Now, it’s gone—without explanation.
Fox Business noted that while the “Reimagine Tomorrow” webpage is still active, its sudden disappearance from Disney’s corporate filing suggests an effort to downplay or phase out the initiative.
Leaked Footage Exposed Disney’s ‘Not-So-Secret’ Agenda
Disney’s woke DEI policies came under fire in 2022 when leaked footage from a company summit revealed executives openly discussing their push for LGBTQ+ content in children’s programming.
Executive producer Latoya Raveneau bragged about her “not-at-all secret gay agenda” at Disney, describing how leadership encouraged the push for LGBTQ+ themes in kids’ shows.
“I was a little suss when I started, but then my experience was bafflingly the opposite of what I had heard,” Raveneau admitted. “In my little pocket of Proud Family TVA, the showrunners were super welcoming. Meredith Roberts and our leadership over there has been so welcoming to my not-at-all secret gay agenda.”
The revelation infuriated parents and investors alike, fueling a backlash that has contributed to Disney’s financial decline and reputation damage.
A Desperate Attempt to Stop the Bleeding?
Disney’s decision to drop “Reimagine Tomorrow” from its official DEI reporting signals one of two things:
- They’re backing away from woke politics to save their collapsing brand.
- They’re just trying to hide it from investors while keeping the agenda alive behind the scenes.
Stefan Padfield, director of the Free Enterprise Project, told Fox News that this move could be an early sign of Disney realizing its DEI investments are becoming a liability.
“Disney dropping [Reimagine Tomorrow] from their DEI section could mean they’re walking back their DEI investments, or it could signal they’re hiding them,” Padfield said. “Either they recognize that more litigation is coming, or it could be part of a vibe shift.”
The Bottom Line: Disney’s Woke Era Is Collapsing
Whether Disney is actually changing course or just trying to cover its tracks, one thing is clear: woke corporate agendas don’t sell.
As Disney’s stock continues to struggle and its once-loyal audience turns away, the company is being forced to confront the reality that pushing divisive politics at the expense of great storytelling is a losing game.
