This is not new information, nor should it be shocking. We are all aware of the Democrats’ fervent desire to keep out former President Donald Trump and remove him from office should he decide to run again. There is now a video of Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) acknowledging that removing Trump may spark a civil war but explaining how Democrats would use Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to support their position.
Although the video’s release date eluded me, Merissa Hansen uploaded it on X just a few hours ago:
Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which states that anyone who participates in an insurrection against the government is ineligible to run for or hold office, did not apply to Trump, despite Rep. Raskin’s usual leftist cry of despair over how Le Bad Orange Man will take away many rights.
Raskin states that it will be “up to us on January 6th, 2025, to notify the rampaging Trump mobs that he is ineligible,” but then goes on to say that Democrats will need more security because of the anticipated “backlash.”
When, in your opinion, did a Republican target a Democratic politician? In my opinion, the contrary occurs—just speak with Trump, Rand Paul, and Steve Scalise.
Raskin states in his addendum, “And then we need bodyguards for everyone and civil war circumstances.”
We have been listening to nonstop complaints for the past nine years, since Trump downed the golden escalator in 2015, about how Le Bad Orange Man is actually Hitler and that he would eradicate minorities and destabilize the entire globe.
Unprecedented lawfare has led to 34 felony convictions, fines of almost half a billion dollars, and attempts by three states to remove Trump from the ballot. Meanwhile, the media is still giddy with anticipation over how the Bad Orange Man will actually carry out all the terrible predictions made during his previous term.
Despite the fact that no one believes the official account of how he climbed onto the roof and started shooting, they don’t seem to care that Trump nearly perished, Corey Comperatore died, and two more men suffered injuries because some crazy person became radicalized and believed that killing Trump would save the world
In the words of Rorschach from “Watchmen,” one could ask, “What’s one more corpse amid the foundations?”
