According to a Gallup poll released on Monday, support for tougher gun regulation has dropped from 66 percent in June to 57 percent towards the end of Oct.
The poll was taken between October 3 and 20, with a random sample of 1,009 American adults.
According to Gallup, 46 percent of Americans have a gun in their house or someplace on their property, and 33 percent “personally own a gun.”
When polled by political party, 66 percent of Republican participants stated they have a gun in their house or someplace on their property, compared to 31 percent of Democrats.
Furthermore, 48 percent of Republicans and 20 percent of Dems. claim they “personally own a gun.”
“Americans’ calls for tighter gun regulations have declined since June when back-to-back mass killings in a supermarket and a school sparked a renewed interest in gun control. Gallup polling has generally shown that public support for stricter gun regulation rises following high-profile mass killings and then declines as memories fade.”
Aside from disparities in party identification, the Gallup poll finds that gun ownership is highest among people with high incomes in both urban and rural areas.
Democrats must be insane to advocate for gun restriction as Americans’ support for gun rights grows. Why are they so intent on disarming Americans? Could they be worried about what conservatives would discover? What have they done in the last ten years to elicit such a massive outpouring of rage from Americans on all sides of the political aisle?
