Canadian Singer Snubs U.S. Over Trump’s Policies

Robert Adam, the self-described “non-binary femme” country singer from Canada, has announced he will no longer perform in the United States, citing President Trump’s America First policies and stand against radical gender ideology. Adam, who traveled to Nashville to record his latest album, now claims Trump’s return to the White House has made touring stateside simply too “stressful.”

“I don’t want to spend my life stressed out over whether I feel like I have to tone down my image or what I have to say, just to exist and play a show,” Adam told the Canadian Press. He specifically cites the Trump administration’s January move to reaffirm biological reality by recognizing only two sexes—male and female—as a cause of his anxiety.

It’s baffling, though not surprising, that Adam sees America’s renewed commitment to common-sense truth as a personal threat. Under Biden, America saw a troubling push of woke gender ideology into every corner of public life—especially targeting children. The previous administration’s enthusiasm for irreversible sex-change procedures and puberty blockers for minors was rightly condemned by parents nationwide, prompting Trump’s decisive action to put an end to such madness.

Yet, instead of respecting America’s right to uphold biological reality, Adam claims this straightforward policy is somehow oppressive. The singer described himself as “pretty non-binary presenting, pretty femme,” worrying that his appearance might attract undue attention at the U.S. border. He says the possibility of facing personal questions or even being detained outweighs any upside of performing in America.

Let’s be clear: this is less about border security and more about virtue-signaling. Adam traveled freely to Nashville, one of the most conservative cities in America, to record his album—but now suddenly feels unsafe performing his “queer country music” on American soil. This is the same country that has consistently been welcoming to artists of all backgrounds, orientations, and beliefs, but simply refuses to bow down to radical gender ideology pushed by woke activists.

President Trump has rightly made it clear that America will not compromise on fundamental truths for the sake of political correctness. The January declaration by the Trump administration, which ensures that government documents reflect the biological sex assigned at birth, is not an act of discrimination—it’s an affirmation of scientific reality. It’s a return to sanity after years of leftist cultural chaos.

Adam has now decided to take his act to the United Kingdom and Japan instead, believing that those countries will embrace his style and message more openly. “It’s important to me that we go to spaces where I can do those things freely and inspire others to do the same,” Adam said. But what message is he truly inspiring—one of division and victimhood? Instead of engaging in meaningful dialogue, this singer is choosing to boycott an entire nation simply because it no longer caters to woke demands.

Americans should not be shamed or bullied into accepting ideologies that contradict basic truths. The Trump administration’s stance is not about exclusion—it’s about preserving our traditions, values, and common sense. President Trump is proudly defending America’s sovereignty, values, and the rights of parents to protect their children from dangerous, radical gender theories promoted by activists like Adam.

In choosing to boycott America, Adam is exercising his freedoms—ironically, the very freedoms protected and championed by the United States. He is well within his rights to perform wherever he pleases, just as America is within its rights to uphold its values. But let’s not pretend this decision is heroic or groundbreaking. It’s yet another example of leftist virtue-signaling masquerading as bravery.

As President Trump continues his America First agenda, we can expect more of these publicity-seeking gestures from celebrities desperate to appear righteous. But the real bravery is in standing firm against woke demands, prioritizing truth over feelings, and keeping America a country that respects reality, freedom, and common sense above all else.
