The president, however, has succeeded in infuriating individuals in his own party because he is a particularly poor president. It was this particular video, in which Biden declared that the “pandemic is over,” that set off COVID-19 hysterics nationwide.
The moment the comment was made, sources revealed to Politico that the administration’s health officials had been taken off guard. In fact, Biden has just utilized the pandemic’s purported presence to support the illegitimate forgiveness of student loan debt. But in one meandering response, he erased everything, leaving those who were still wearing N95s and enrolling in their fifth booster spinning in the wind.
That naturally required the Biden’s handlers to step in and tidy up his messes. The White House released a statement claiming their position had not changed nearly immediately on Sunday evening after the president said American men and women would have to go to battle to defend Taiwan. Karine Jean Pierre, Biden’s communications director, fielded inquiries on his equally perplexing pandemic remark on Tuesday. The attempt to tidy up quickly devolved into plain lying.
In conclusion, we have reached the stage where Biden can say something, and his staff will just act as if he didn’t. This administration has become comfortably accustomed to lying, which is terrible enough, but what does this all indicate about the president himself? Biden stated clearly that “the pandemic is over” in this instance. That response is clear-cut and unambiguous. Contrary to what Jean-Pierre claims, it does not actually imply that “COVID remains a concern.” When you declare something to be over, you literally mean it.
But Jean-Pierre wasn’t finished confusing the message. She tries to argue that Biden meant “we have to keep working to make sure that we are combating this once-in-a-generation epidemic” near the end of the video. The pandemic appears to be over, but the White House must still battle it since it’s such a major threat. Has that answered everyone’s questions?
