In light of the ongoing issue surrounding Joe Biden’s mental and physical health, the White House declared on Wednesday that the president had tested positive for COVID-19.
“President Biden had a positive COVID-19 test, had a booster shot, and is now exhibiting minor symptoms. According to a White House statement, “He will be going back to Delaware, where he will continue to properly fulfill all of his duties while self-isolating.”
Biden has already had many coronavirus infections. In addition, he used his illness as an excuse for his awful performance in last month’s presidential debate versus Trump.
The president had previously declared in an interview that he would think about resigning if a “medical issue” compelled him to do so.
In an interview with BET, Biden said, “If I developed a physical disease, if someone, a physician, came to me and said, ‘You have this problem and that problem,'”
The illness sparked rumors that the Democratic Party was preparing for Biden to end his candidacy.
Rep. Adam Schiff, a well-known Democrat from California, also urged Biden to resign on Wednesday in order to improve the party’s chances of unseating outgoing President Donald Trump.

After a video surfaced showing the president boarding Air Force One without a mask following a positive COVID test and approaching teammates who were also not using masks, several criticized the effort.
